Is it the set with the little kettle?  Great for boiling water, sauces, etc.. but as not non stick , not good for anything fried.

We tried frying and spent longer washing up than cooking in it. We still use the saucepans and kettle but have replaced the frypan with a lovely huge non stick one with a fold up handle. Its so good i use it all the time at home.

The aluminium ones are good as fruit bowls, for rinsing salads, heating soup, etcc. As they stack so well Id take them along even if I wasnt planning to cook. They take up very little more space than the kettle alone.

we have a set of aluminum pans, they are great as they heat quickly, never had a problem with them.

I do though take a seperate frying pan as the one with the set duels as a pan lid, which is really the best use for it.

Our set in the tin tent were bought donkey's years ago and cost around £20 way back then but they're non-stick, lightweight, all fit inside each other with the lids doubling up as frying pans, plus three egg poacher and deep fat basket thingy too. We've never used the deep fat basket but it does a good job as a strainer and we always still use a small omelette pan just for fried eggs or pancakes.

Think that any ali pans are great for camping cooking as they heat up so quickly and save fuel too.

I use MSR pans.....more expensive, but last well and are brilliant. I have non-stick ones......proper non-stick too, not the sort that peels off! I also have some of the non non-stick pans too which also do not stick, other than fro frying eggs...then they can.And a couple of the ones that seal themselves when closed......

Where did you get the frying pan from & what make is it. This is the only thing we havent sussed out for packing yet.
