Yes unless you want to have to shop every day!
Ours goes to France a couple of times a year (it's the older Combicool) and is a godsend, we often can't shop for up to three days so need to be able to store food. We throw away much less than we did the time that we went without it.
It will take up a big chunk of your boot, but you can pack it full of kitchen gear whilst you are travelling and then un-pack it and fire it up when you get to the site. You do not have to travel with it cold and plugged into a 12 volt supply for it to work well when you arrive.
You really can't beat cold beer!
