Help!!!
We recently had a problem with the converter/battery charger on our van. we found that when we took the van out this year we had to hook up the battery for the lights etc to work and that the electric hook up was only powering the sockets.
we took the converter out to see if this could be repaired, but it was punch welded and meant that there was no way in to it. We were advised to buy a battery charger and keep this in the van so we could charge when we are out or overnight which we did problem solved so I thought!!!!!
In a moment of tidy up and madness I threw the converter away thinking that we no longer needed it........ we have signed up for a replacement van and while sorting out the van for the part exchange we can no longer get any power to the lights etc. Short of going to the megga expense of replacing the converter, what else can we do to geet over this problem??? How thorough are they at checking when you take a part ex in? although I do not want to be deceteful I don't want any additional expense either.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, today is Sunday and the exchange for the new van is on Friday so I don't have much time to sort this dilemmma out.
