the tilley is the one we have - got it off Freecycle for nothing! Including 2 gas bottles and regulator and hose! BARGAIN that was!

That`s the one we have and it`s great for us and we can feed a family of four using it with no problem. The grill is on the small side and is a bit slow, but it`s ideal for sausages etc as they cook through properly and don`t end up burnt on the outside and raw in the middle.

This is also the cooker we have and its great, would recemmond. Got ours at millets for £38 in there sale. A 904 / 907 gas bottle will cost you in the region of £60 / £70 so get either a 4.5kg or 7kg calor bottle. If you cant get an empty from your tip you could always try your local county freecycle group.

We have this too. Would agree that it's very good and practical. Also agree that grill isn't the best and in fact I don't really use it. For toast we use the mesh toasters which sit on the hob - these are brilliant and do bagels and pitta bread a treat!

ive ordered one of those mesh toasters they look great idea. and think we ll get a double burner stove. thanks for everyone's help, i am a lot more knowledgeable now especially where gas is concerned!!!
