We have a Campinggaz 12v coolbox but want to run it on the EHU in our tent. The guy in the camping shop sold us a Coleman Euro Transformer to plug it into the mains but I'm not convinced it's the right thing. Does anyone know if it's the right one, please?
It was the description on the box that left me wondering if it was the right thing. Sorry, it's in the loft now so I can't tell you exactly what it said (good job it is the right thing! Hubby was very quick to tidy it away!) but from the description I thought it was just for the different voltage when you go abroad.
Hope all the family are well. Yes you have the right thing . I also was unsure because of picture and writing on the box, but after using it in Forest Fields wouldn't be without it now.
Off to Isle of Wight Sat hope you are getting some more camping trips in happy hols.
Thanks for the tip. Enjoy Isle of Wight. There's so much to do there, you'll have a great time! We're off to the Peak District on Monday for a week and Dorset at the end of August.
Re: your tips - in addition to the transformer, we have bought walkie talkies and a pop up toy store thingy! It was expensive meeting you!
we have that for our cool box, in case you didnt know you can use it for many other 12 volt items, to attach to mains, literally anything that plugs into cigar lighter.
thats right, it was my OH that thought of that, we had a fan and one of the hanging bug zapper light that we used in an old trailer tent with 12 volt sockets fitted. I mentioned it was a shame they were no use for new tent, and We decided to try the cool box adapter , works a treat
