Keep your children away from my tent in case they fall into the wine cellar.

Tesco £3.99 Leopards Leap The Lookout Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz-Cinsaut Western Cape South Africa 12.5% Plastic cork.
(I quote) Your safari-style roast rack of venison sizzles on the barbecue,
while the company is macho-minamalist and distictively beautiful. The pick of the bunch, however that really tickles your fancy, is this sexy, sumptuous tri-varietal. A mouth-watering Pavovian response?

Wine basic equipment? It's ESSENTIAL equipment. Tesco's own Chilean Cabernet is a good buy at an economical £2.98 a bottle. You can get it in 3 litre boxes , too. Cheapest good wine I ever bought was in France about 13 years ago. Stopped in this village at a place built into the rock face. Inside were two enormous polythene vats. I had the red. I provided an empty 2 litre water bottle, which was filled from something resembling a petrol pump nozzle. It was 8 francs (about 80p).
We thought it would be plonk, but we drank the lot with our evening meal and it was terrific. If we hadn't travelled so far after buying it, I would have gone back for more.
Yes, it's definitely essential equipment. Cheers, Bertie

What's your WORST wine? years ago I bought a red called Hirondelle. It was horrible. I think it was some time before we tried wine again. If we get one now that's a bit ugh!, one of us will say "yuck, Hirondelle".
The worst white was from a friend who made her own. One sip was enough to send you running for a mouthwash. We think she accidentally bottled the steriliser.
Have fun, Bertie

I got quite good at making white wine. Some of my attempts at red and some others were a bit ghastly. My son-in-law was in the RAF and living in married quarters at the time. He often took some of this "plonk" back with him, and it was always eagerly consumed by his RAF buddies. Ugh!!
