My brother and his g/f have had bother with their blow up mattress and theyve been thinking about those flat sponge type. I can remember reading on here a while ago about some such mattresses but can't for the life of me remember what they were called I can remember reading that 2 singles can be joined together to make a double and they were said to be so comfy, anyone remember what they were called?

Sorry haven't a clue, but went to a camp shop last week, that only sold self inflating air-beds.   (when I say only, there were lots of different makes)

they are self inflating mats with the sponge in the middle.lots of different makes with thermarest being the dearest and best.

I was wondering what these fat airics are really like?? How do they compare to an airbed as they look too flat?
