You could buy a rechargable one, we had one it cost about £30 and lasts for 6 hours. I also have a petrol one which i use for fishing a Coleman North star easy to light and lets off a bit of heat to warm your hands up, but there a lot more expensive about £80 and lasts for about 8 hr on full blast

We got ours from Caseys Outdoor leisure in Chester, they're only £11.99 there instead of £19.99 at Argos.

I've got a rechargeable lantern, a wind up lantern, and this battery one. I find this battery one the best.

Hope this helps

We have a recheargable lantern but also have a couple of hurricane lanterns that we fill with citronella oil. They burn with a lovely soft light and keep the nasties away.

Where do you get the citronella oil from please? I was thinking of taking some citronella candles but this sounds a much better idea...
