Your maybe just not suited to camping ,not everyone takes to it !

We like our posh Hotels ,they have a time and a place ,but still relax much more camping !

Lets drop all the smugness none of you are better than me, i am the best you know 

Anyway back on subject we have just brought 2 double coleman airbeds & will be using them next weekend when we go away for a week, they better be comfortable because i need some comfort otherwise i am on the next ferrie home !

May sound a silly question (one of many) but what sort of weight do these blow-up beds hold? OH & myself both hav dodgy backs & are both 'built for comfort, not for speed' as my mum would say! Would we be better off with two singles or get a double & risk it?!

Probably a daft question but do these airbeds come with something to inflate them from the car cigarette lighter, or do you have to buy a separate gadget to do that?  I last used an airbed 10 years ago for my daughter to camp at Pony Club and it took about 40 minutes to inflate with a foot pump.

Have stayed in many a caravan with friends but have just got my own ancient 'van - it came with two bags containing awning and poles, and if I ever manage to get the thing up we'll want airbeds to go in it, but the footpump idea is a bit offputting!

hi you can buy a small inflator to use with the cigarette lighter, will cost about £6

You can get an outwell 12v pump for about 12-14 pound. This will inflate the Coleman Airbed in about 90 Seconds each chamber and when you come to deflate the airbed this pump will deflate airbed so its so flat you can get it back in its bag.

I have lumbar problems so you do have my heart felt sympathy there, but please don't let it put you off camping.  I find that the Coleman Double comfort airbed is great - I can adjust my side of it to the firmness I require and not be affected when my OH rolls around at night. I have tried the Outwell self inflating mat too and whilst it was ok for a night or two I did notice some problems with my arm going numb when laying on my side, because the mattress was not soft enough and me circulation was suffering.

I positively look forward to sleeping on the Coleman Comfort - in fact I have had better sleep on that than in some hotel beds I have experienced!

Well you do get what you pay for - we bought a double airbed from halfords - middle of the road price - used it 6 nights in total and now it needs to be pumped up every day. Wish we had bought the dual system. Thanks to this site i will be spending a fortune come payday - OH seriously getting stressed.

We do also take a really thick and very warm double fleece blanket and put it on top of the airbed - it does feel more cushioned and comfy.  Also acts as a back up blanket if it gets too cold.
