Big W, the larger arm of woolies, is currently selling 4lt mini coolers for £14.99, and it works off both 12v or 240v. Its only a very small unit, basically a small mini fridge and has the capacity to hold 6 cans or 4 small bottles. However if you are looking for something to simply keep some milk or butter cool then it serves that purpose admirably.
We have a wee fridge (9 litres) that we got half price at Argos and its great. We can fit in a 2 litre/4 pint milk jug, tub of butter, yogs, cold meat & cheese no problem. If its a 2 pint milk carton there's room for a bottle of wine! It keeps stuff really cold, although it did struggle a bit in the heatwave when the temperature in the tent was 40C +

------------- Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.
Well I bought one of these small coolers this morning, and I've had it running indoors since then and it's cooled 4 bottles of lager down to a more than an acceptable coldness to drink, so should be great for milk etc.
I've got a great bargain. 13.5 ltr's fridge. Runs on 12v and 240v. cost me £19 two years ago from Tesco. Now they retail at over £50. Can cool 24 cans of pepsi. Its called the Wanderer
Will be taking it with me this month when I go camping.
