Hi all am looking for a heater for my tent and am not sure where to start! As i have two young children safety is the issue so any ideas? What do you use?
We just use a 2kw fan heater you can get them in argos or some diy stores

we use an electric greenhouse heater, it's designed to withstand damp and condenstation drips.
We use the same thing, as OH said they would be better than a normal heater and safer, due to them being able to withstand damp and condensation. Ours also double as a fan when it is hot. We bought ours from B&Q last week for £40. We do have a larger one in our greenhouse, but this one is just a nice size and well worth the money.
Still look in argos, they have a choice of camping items, they use to have gas heaters

Never thought of using greenhouse heater. If you are on EHU .then Towsure do a 400/800 watt halogen effect heater for £10.95. My sister has just bought one of these and it is so light, goes out immediately if knocked over, getting one myself. I have a 7yr old girl.

We take our greenhouse heater as it also acts as a fan in hot weather. It also has a thermostat so knocks itself off when not needed.
I have the gas cartridge heater - I got mine from ebay and I have to say its great for taking the chill out of the air, and yes it does say not to be used in a tent but as we have the windows up in our tent the air does get in so its not a problem and we also only need to have it on for about 20 mins if it gets that cold as it does heat the ten up nice and cosy ! and to be honest you can pick up the gas for those heaters pretty cheaply...
