We had no problems with our toaster , even warmed up sausage rolls on it . Exactly same one your asking about , we havn't got a posh oven either , just a single ring .

hi, we used the stove top toaster once and gave it away, bread was like concrete and still white!

Hi Mary,

Sorry for late reply just returned from four days away (four awful days at a site I might add, will be giving my review shortly).  Plain old camping stove.  It works a treat, takes very little time at all, just heat the pan up first untill it's hot,  and also use the thin or medium bread, thick slice takes ages.  I find that I'm able to then throw in the bacon after a wipe out with kitchen roll to rid the crumbs and cook that whilst I'm buttering the toast.
