They sound rather common, I will stick with my royal doulton thank you. One never knows when visitors may drop in at the tent for cup of earl grey and a cucumber sandwich.
Melamine cups of tea taste much better than the picnic type plastic ones we did have. Would prefer it if i could take proper mugs but i know i would break them on the first day.
We have loads of mugs, so took the ones I was least keen on thinking that some would get broken. 6 years later we're still on the same mugs! Less chance of breaking them than at home, after all, if they drop its usually on grass!!
Got some tool bags from our local £1land! Great for many more uses than just holding tools, tent pegs (ground anchor type) and guylines, mallet, peg puller all fit in one. Another for the lecky leads and lights from the awning, well worth the £1 each and I am sure I will find loads more uses for them around the house as well, ideal size for me PC/CD & DVD discs too, especially the PC ones that I cart back and forward to the centre I work at on a voluntary basis. Great for PC spare parts for the same reason as well, wonder what else I can use them for..............
Was in Leeds last week and called in the pound shop in Cross Gates, got two waterproof picnic rugs for £2, some little reading lights and some Hot Chocolate and Coffee drinks that you just add water to, just waiting to go camping to use it all now.

those ice packs from poundland are great - I bought 5 of them and they were magic to use in the cooler bag...I would happily pay more than a £1 for them....but if they are priced at that £1 then I will keep paying it !
