can anyone recommend or find a folding chair that is suitable for 2 weeks of use for my hubby who is 19 1/2 stone so far every chair we have had has broke apart from a wooden deck chair which takes up a lot of room
We bought a "big boy" folding chair from Asda. It takes up to about 22 stone i think. My hubby uses it all the time with no problems and if I remember rightly it was about a tenner.
I seem to remember that they had some on the outdoor megastore site, but don't know if they're any good. sorry can't be of more help but they might be worth checking out
We changed to chairs like the Outwell Club Chair Deluxe, Outdoormegastore has them. Never go back to those cheap fold up ones. Confortable and well made.

I bought a pair of Khyam folding chairs from Towbar & Trailer in Farnborough, £14 each. They seem to be rated to 22 stone - certainly a 21 stone family member uses them without any problems and they are still in excellent condition. Without wishing to sound rude, does your husband throw himself into the chairs? I can't understand how such fairly hefty kit could break so easily without some abnormal usage.
Im of a large stature myself and always us carp chairs used for fishing. Extremely sturdy construction, extendible legs, most are recliners (perfect for afternoon kip), vaery comfortable. Check some out at your local fishing store you wont regret it.
hubby doesn't throw himself in the chairs but he's 6'6" so i think its that the edge of the chair also carry's the weight rather than just the seat part if you get what i mean will go and check out the chairs mentioned THANKS
I agree with Ray, check out the carp fishing chairs / recliners.
My recliner was fifty quid four years ago. That may seem expensive initially but it's still in perfect condition after being used nearly every weekend since it was purchased (if I'm not camping, then I'm fishing!).
hubby has a "special chair" just for him, as he is 25 and a half stone. we got it for about £20 in our camping shop. its a "mac sports prestige" and it takes his weight fine, so 19 stone should be no problem.
