Hi burnleylee and welcome to the forums
Did you get the 'mummy' style bags? I can't stand them myself. You can get bags is various sizes. We use two Coleman XL bags zipped together to make a double. You can get lost in it it's so big and extremely comfortable. They were called the 'Chestnut' range when we bought them, but I've a feeling they've changed the name since then.

Have a look at the 'Coleman Chestnut' sleeping bag, which has a cotton skin & cotton flannelette lining and is 210cm. long x 100cm. wide... They're very comfortable and you can get a seperate cotton flannelette liner, to make them even warmer for Autumn or Spring...
have you considered the vango nightstar 300XL square bag it is huge and warm and fabloads of leg room and a good 3 season comfort rating and well worth a look for the over small gentleman(like me)
