will have EHU, wondering what do others have to light tent, have somewhere to hang it from in tent, ideally one that has bright setting and nightlight as kids hate sleeping in pitch black. Or is it better to go for 2 seperate lights. We have a rechargable lantern (Too bright for nightlight) as well. lots I have seen have croc clips on end, looking for one with plug or am I ok to use light for home? Novice sorry and dont want to trip electric.

Thanks once again

Any lamp from home is fine on electric hook up. We take a small bedside table lamp. we also have a great little clip on one from poundland that's just a crocodile clip with a light fitting. we use the low energy bulb in it, because it stays cooler than a normal bulb, so I'm told, and hang it up in the tent. Really small and lightweight.

Lights won't trip the leccy, it's the kettle and toaster and heaters that you need to be careful with. Use heated appliances one at a time, but you can use one of them at the same time as a fridge and light.

We  just bought a a light from B&Q and long velcro strips to fix to poles or centre of tent. My grand kids use a torch if they wake up,we use re-chargeble lights in the pod. Handy for power cuts.

We use an old lamp with a slumber bulb (10 or 15 watt I think) cos our 2 girls don't like the pitch black. It also means they don't wake everyone with a torch if they use the portaloo in the night. Could alos use a nightlight; that little light up plug that you use in kids bedrooms.

When my son is in his pup tent he takes one of the solar powered lights from outside the caravan in with him to use as a nightlight.

Would save having even more cables hanging around the tent.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.

We use an electric light hung off the main living area of the tent and a battery operated one in the bedroom area, this has a remote control making it easy to turn on and off while laying down.

Hi, I use mains 18w IP55 flourescents in the tent, which I either cable-tie to the frame, or hook on with a caribener. I did think before I first used them that the tubes wouldn't be up to travelling, but I've proven that they are. I've seen the very same fittings in many site wash blocks.

For kids "going to sleep" light I use a battery powered 6inch LED strip light.
