We have had our camping stove for about 4 years now, which replaced a very old stove from my camoing trips when i was a kid with mum and dad. What  i have noticed is the stove we now have (its a sun gas) doesn't seem to have half the burn power of the old stove.

So my question is this, are all stoves now like this or is ours just not very powerful, and which stove make should i get for our next one. 

Not sure about the power of new stoves however we have a coleman duel fuel once we got the hang of it (took a while) it was the best thing we have ever bought

we have a camping gaz double burner and a 'suitcase stove' and find the latter kicks out more heat than either of the camping gaz rings!

even use the little one at home!

Ive given up on gas, no way I'd ever use it again.

Although I only bought my Coalman Duel fuel this summer, I've used it all over the Scottish islands and the Lakes. The main thing Ive noticed is the power compared to gas, plus the main benefit is it maintains full flame when amost empty. Almost good enough to weld with

Downside is they can flare when cold but this only lasts around 30 seconds.

Best £45 I've spent in a long time.

Still use my coleman dual fuel when caravanning for alfresco cooking.

Another advantage not mentioned is that unleaded is much easier to get than gas.

I dunno the answer to this one, but we recently bought an EHU and by chance when my girlfreind was having a clear out she found a one ring electric stove that she was going to chuck, until I pointed out that we could use it with the EHU next season.

The likes of B&M, Lidl, Woolies etc sometimes do a 2 burner electric stove that is small enough for camping. I may give one a try next year.
