Hi, does anyone tow a caravan with one of these.  Our van weighs about 1800kg and at the moment tow with a 4.7 V8 Grand Cherokee but think we would like to get more than 16mpg! and that's when we are not towing!! I'd be very grateful for any advice.

All I can tell you is that they go like a train and have lots of low down torque. It is quicker low down and pulls harder through the gears than a V70 T5 Volvo!

If the MTPLM of the van is 1800 kg then it is too heavy for the Audi.  

  But this is an old thread and Karen has already decided to get a VW Touareg.
