I wouldn't be without my one now either. I have had a Sat Nav for about 2 years now and in all that time it has only ever let me down once, and that was basically because a road had been converted to a one way street. This would not have been picked up by a normal road atlas either because it was changed after they were brought out for that year.
Even for local journeys I use it now. I had to pick my daughter up from a new friend a little while ago. Although the address was only 10 minutes away I didn't know where it was. Punched the address into the SatNav, and not only did it take me straight to the road, it took me right outside the house number I put in.
With my new one, it even tells me when there is traffic or an accident and a way round that traffic.
