Saw an small article in todays Camping magazine about what I thought was Crocs shoes a provider I'd not heard of and quite cheap prices so I decided to investigate. Imagine my suprise when I visited their website - www.holeysoles.com  I found that they are not Crocs at all but Holey Soles!!. Mind you they do look strangely familiar I wonder if the Crocs company know about them??

They sell Crocs lookalikes in a big chain of sports shops around here. I think they are called Sports Direct or something like that. They cost £14 a pair but the quality is not a patch on Crocs and they are not made of the same stuff although they are just as light.

Living in my CROCS and can't wait for the proper winter weather to give me Georgies, (black wellies that look like biker boots), a whirlHaven't even worn me black Aspens yet And....I'm already trying to decide on which colour Prima I want and.....Nile........and Scutes.....and.....oh just any of 'em! Love 'em to bits

As soon as you put these on your feet you forget how ugly they look because they are just the most comfortable things ever. I even wear a pair as slippers around the house. If your feet are aching when you get in from work, put the crocs on and the aches just disappears. Brilliant. I dont care what they look like. Do yourself a favour and go try a pair on at the end of a lengthy shopping trip when your feet have had enough and see what I mean. You will be running to the till with them.

£30 for Crocs is about right.  I love mine - went out on Thursday with a pair of boots with heels on - nearly crippled me!!  My feet were aching and sore when I got home - slipped on my Crocs and almost immediately I could have walked for miles!  I wore nothing else all weekend, despite the grass being wet.  I really must get some Aspens for these wet fields (I know my Caymens are wonderfull, but long, wet grass and holes don't mix!) and some All Terrains for when the weather is really bad!!

Do all you Crocs fans out there think I could get away with wearing black Aspens for work?? - I work in an office, behind a desk all day, and have no contact with our customers!!!  I badly damaged my ankle last summer, and I think I cracked my heel-bone this summer (what a wreck!!) and my feet ACHE by the end of the day, even in flat shoes, but my Crocs are sooooo comfortable I forget I have them on.

£20 is the normal price for the kids sizes, (i.e. up to UK size 3), so they might have been the smaller ones? Either way they're allllllll worth any amount of money coz they are just THE best footwear EVER I didn't even mind forking out £35 for me Georgies coz let's face it, a pair of leather winter boots would cost w-a-y more than that and then for me, I'd end up in agony when me feet and ankles swell, so I prefer to go for the comfort, although.....I really do think my black Georgies look very smart.

As for wearing the black Aspens for work, I certainly couldn't see anything wrong with that coz they just look like 'normal' smart shoes in my mind. Apparently Gordon ('F*****g') Ramsey even wears 'em in his kitchen!

They are defo anti-slip as anyone who's got 'em will verify. In fact Crocs tell you that the only time you'll need to replace them is when you can actually make your foot slip with them on, coz this means the deep treads are wearing down. Don't know how many years that might take though

LOVE MY CROCS......

Btw....I have noticed that there are some very similar shoes being flogged on Ebay and they're even advertising them as

FAKE CROCS

saying that they are exactly the same as Crocs but with no brand name on them, wonder if these could be Holey Shoes?

Don't think that Holey Shoes can be made by Crocs though coz if memory serves correct, they don't come from the US which is where Crocs originated, although they're also made in Italy and China now too and somewhere else the name of which currently escapes me.

They sound great, particularly for those of us with wide feet! But can someone please advise - I normally take a size 5.5. : would I need a 5 or a 6 in these. I haven't so far found anywhere near me (N. Cambs or S. Lincs) where I could actually try some on.

If I were you chrisse I'd go for the 6 which would actually be M6 W8 I think you'll find.

If you haven't been able to try any on, you don't have to worry coz if you order from any UK based online companies, there's not usually any problem for exchanges. You can exchange from the US companies too but it's the shipping and customs and excise duty that'd cripple ya!

Take a look on Crocs.com and read their guide to sizing, this should help. I found that my Caymens are slightly baggier than my Aspens so I reckon the equivalent of the UK 6 should be about right for ya.

I'm just looking to order a pair of Prima ones, (won't tell hubby till they land on the doorstep). Although actually......I got £20 from me Mum in me birfdee card so I could use that towards 'em! Whey hey!!!! Guilt free shopping
