just spotted an Osram 3 LED lights, very small and neat, will stick to underside of cupboards for instance, inside cupboards, etc.  Called Osram dot-it. come in various colours, but the black or silver mountings would look good in most vans.

they would save considerable battery power in caravans and motorhomes, and are rather like the small inset halogen lights of a few years ago - about 3" across, and run on AA batteries I think.  They also come on by simply touching like the old touch lamps.  However they should last a fair time on battery power, and you could use several.....they require no electric fitting!!!!!!!!!!!!.........yippee!

they were £4.99 in Focus...............can anyone find them cheaper (they are much more expensive on ebay)

Just had a look on osrams site for some more info, they look great (guess what my vans getting for Xmas!!

They take normal AAA size batteries, 1Watt power (quite bright for LEDs), 67mm dia, 22mm length, and approx 100Hrs battery life,

and looks like focus is about the chapest, most seem to be about 6.99, plus P&P
