Just recently I booked a site with the camping/caravan club site online. The deposit they wanted was £48. which I paid but I was under the impression that it was £15. deposit. Can anyone throw any light on this please.
i asked this at moffat for the simple reason i could not remember how much i had paid deposit.the lady warden said it was a percentage of the money for the total for the time booked.at peak times it is higher
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I have just booked and was told that the deposit for next year is minimum £25. However my booking was less than that so I paid in full, I am a liitle concerned that the minimum charge may end up at £25 just to be neat! Hope not as the age concessions really do enable us to camp more often.
Glad they are taking deposits. I had understood that people would "block book " pitches, then fail to turn up, with no penalty. Other members would be turned away as the site was technically full.
I think that you are getting confused with the Caravan Club who do not take deposits. To the best of my knowledge the C&CC (Caravanning and Camping Club) have always taken deposits.
Deposits for two recent bookings - £25.00 when the total was £32.80 and £24.90 when that was the total. The latter one is not a bank holiday, so does suggest a minumum of £25 as Romaway said.
