Bit of advice/info please guys. I am looking for an inner tent for my caravan awning. I want an inner tent that is made of a material that blocks some of the early morning light out. Any links please?? Thanks, Tony

Hi Tony, not sure if you can get different colours or a darker colour awning inner, but we bought one from Jacksons Of Old Arley (nr Nuneaton) and this one was made from a cotton material and not a lightweight nylon one although it was white in colour as most are regards S/C

Hi, most are quite thin and dont block the light, But try the canvas repair centre as they can supply them with heavier material or even add darker roof panels. They are an excellent firm.

Could you buy a standard one and try draping the outside on the window side with something dark, like black plastic or a length of rip-stop nylon? Both of these would fold up small and not take up much room. Probably cheaper than having something made specially..............or how about sleep masks??

Hi, As an idea on price,  canvas repair centre made me two custom annex's plus inner seperate bed compartments to fit my sombrero awning for £125 each end. Which I thought was very reasonable. I did have to take my awning in though, To allow them to match the colour and ensure the annex's were made to fit.

thanks for replies. I'll contact Canvas Repair Centre.

One other thing I'm after. I've got an eco-friendly groundsheet for the awning for grass pitches but could do with a groundsheet that is a bit thicker for hardstandings. I've looked around but can't find anything. Any advice please?

Thanks again, Tony

Hi

I am thinking about having an annex fitted to my Frame Tent and was wondering whether you think the canvas repair centre would do this

Hi tim, Yes they can make any size or pattern annex to match your existing item. I guess if it's a fixed end they will insert a zip so that you could use the original 'wall' or fit the annex. Give them a call you can only ask, They would need your tent to match it but they also arrange delivery and collection if required.

If you are, then me too because that was my first thought. Mind you the kids joke that if they stood still long enough I`d dye them lol.
