hi i have just bought a sunncamp ultima 260 porch awning.i have unpacked it to check all the parts are there and hope to pitch it for the first time in Feb half term. it has next to no instructions with it and i seem to have got very confused as to where all the poles go, can any of you more experianced caravanners help me.the poles are not all listed in the booklet enclosed i can see where the ones that are shown in the booklet go. but there are aluminium poles that i have no idea what to do with. HELP!!!!

 LOL, we have bought the Ultima 390, we were hoping to put it up at New Year, but with the bad weather decided against it, to be honest I havent even opened the bag to look at the instructions, I have been told that they are easy to put up, LOL, heard that one before.

I have the 390 - The Black poles go into the guides on the outside of the awning to form the curves

The aluminium poles go on the inside of the awning (they extend and fit into little pockets in the side/end of the awning) to "seperate" the outer poles and keep them parallel(hope that makes sense)

There may then be more aluminium pole with "spikes" on to these can be used to turn one of the outer panels into a shade

Hi, we have a 390 and it goes as follows-- put awning through rail, straighten the black poles and insert into a sleeve going upwards making sure you push them in enough into the pockets at the awning rail, do this with all 3 or 4 and then bend them to insert the peg rings at the bottom of the awning.  When all these are done and it resembles a quarter circle go inside and put the silver poles into the pockets either end and then stretch them. This gives the roof tension, go round then pegging out making sure doors are closed before pegging begins. usually a jiggle just gets things inline.  We love ours and we have the bedroominner for when our 2 elder children come to visit.  Be patient- you will get the hang of it.  Gary

We also have the 260 and as someone said The 3 Plastic poles go in the outside slots and remember to slide them into the little pockets that are at the top otherwise they pop out.  The alluminum ones go inside and slip them into the pockets.   Ours has stood up in quite severe wind with no problems and is so simple to put up.
