I have found a campsite that is quite basic, in such that it does not have shower facilities not a real problem as I have a couple of solar showers that I used last year, to great effect, for rinsing down the kids after the beach and thought I could use them at this site.  I've checked out a few American camping websites and they advertise shower tents where you hook up your 20lt solar shower inside and there you have it, instant privacy.

Does anyone know of any companies that make such tents in this country?  Or does anyone have any good suggestions for setting up there own –on pitch- shower site?  I can’t be sure if I will have any trees close by to the pitch so it has to be of a free standing design.

Couldn't you just use a toilet tent and hang the shower from the frame by putting a cross member in?

I had thought of that idea, only the frame work looks to week to support a 20lt shower.  But thanks for the post.

rjjo have a look at this
we use one of these on "no frills" sites. Where possible we heat water in solar showers (on top of the car usually) and decant the water either into a big pot or into a folding water container as the Coleman will screw into the opening of the water container.

If we can't generate hot water that way we just heat water in the pot on the stove and adjust it to the right temperature and drop the submursible pump into it.

This avoids having to try to hang the solar shower at enough of a height to get any pressure. We also found that the solar bags aren't great anyway - the water is either too hot or too cold to use!

We use a BBQ stand to put the water container on and mainly we don't bother with a tent, we just shower in our swimming cossies!

OH is working on a shower tent design using an old frame tent we inherited for a fiver!

We have always used a metal frame toilet tent with a 12 volt shower ,which works from a power pack or batteries, we put a cheap paddling pool  at the bottom of the tent to act as a shower tray, then you just fold it up and  pour the dirty water into a bucket for easy disposal. this way we can have it right next to the tent and not worry about the water going in the tent.
