Just ordered a couple of these from ebay but have noticed they sell them in the Betterware catalogue (on line). Paid £13.25 incl delivery for two pans and a free cheese grater.
They have screw on lids with perforations for draining. I thought these would be safer pans with kids around and also save having to take a collander. My old pans don't have lids and so waste gas.
Has anyone else got these? Plus if you have any cooking tips for one-pot meals they would be appreciated?
One I do which is really easy and tasty is simply cook dried pasta in water
Add chopped red peppers, mushrooms or veg of choice
drain water.
Add carton of passata.
Add tiny bit (to taste) of dried crushed chilli and perhaps some dried oregano.
Once all this is cooked add one or two tins of curried mackerel. Don't mix in too much - leave nice size bits of mackeral.
Serve and cover in grated cheese.
Yummy.
Just a shame the kids won't eat pasta (except Heinz spagetti from tin!)
One-pot meals?? Looks like another customer for a Cadac. Although I don't own one myself, I have experienced people doing some wonderful cooking on its, one pot style (e.g. chili concarne like meals, possible supplemented by some roast, prepared along the side of the same Skottelbraai. But with children you have to stay on the spot while cooking.

Why fork out for a cadac - one of those one ring stoves will do the job, and they are lighter and cheaper
Wow. What a bargain. How did you get on with them? We don't have a poundstretcher round these parts (to my knowledge). Those camp recipes look good. Have given me some good ideas.
they are great ,we use the largest one at home too ,aminly take the 2 smaller ones camping ,unless I know huby is coming to then I take the large one . The largest holds easily enough for 5 people ! They clean very easily too and are really light!
I've never tried the pans but here's a one pot recipe:
Seafood chowder - serves 4 and cooks in 15 mins
Chop a bunch of spring onions and fry in butter with 2 tablespoons of mustard powder for a couple of minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and after another minute stir in 1 pint of milk and bring to the boil. Turn the heat down and thicken the sauce with instant mashed potato. Finally add a packet of mixed seafood and grated cheddar cheese. Very lightly simmer for a couple of minutes and serve.
My pans arrived today. I have one big pan and one small pan and the small one fits inside the bigger one which is handy for travelling. It came with a free cheese grater AND recipe book too! I am very pleased with it. It's perfect for camping.
