Hi, My family and I will be driving to Morzine for a few days this summer an d then onto another location to camp for a further 10 nights. I don't want to drive more than about 4 hours from Morzine. Last year, we did this and stayed south of Lake Annecy, which was lovely, but not a huge amount to do.
Is anyone able to suggest another location for part 2 of the holiday please? Essentials will be a lovely pool and good weather!
Thank you, Emma

Weather cannot be guaranteed anywhere! ,You could have a scorching week in Normandy and a wet week in the South of France. Three suggestions for you though are Bernese Oberland in Switzerland (eg Interlaken), South lake Geneva (eg Thonon les Bains) and Burgundy (eg Beaune).

Thankyou. Which if those areas do you recommend the most? We will have our 2 daughters with us (22 and 19), so we need enough for them to do but equally, I like a quiet location. Perhaps cycle distance to towns, etc.

Just for something different why not go through the Mont Blanc tunnel to the Val Veny in Italy (reached from Cormayeur) at the foot of the massif.

We've used Camping Aiguille Noir a couple of times

Can't guarantee the weather but setting is spectacular. Some easy walks along the valley with views of glaciers, refuges etc.

Has an above ground pool, good bar and take way.

Same height above sea level as the top of Ben Nevis!
