Can anyone recommend a good quality, quiet site with good access to public transport into Paris please?

For central Paris rather than Disneyland you have the choice of Camping International at Maisons Laffitte (ten minute walk to RER train) or CityKamp in the Bois de Boulogne (shuttle bus to RER train). Neither is perfect but both are acceptable. Don’t be too fussy - you only need somewhere to sleep and eat breakfast. I love Paris.

Stayed at camping international several times many years ago now; it gives great access to the centre of Paris. Maisons Lafitte is a lovely suburb of Paris with interesting shops & a chateau. The site itself appears to be much improved since we last visited, sure you can still hear/see the barges going past on the Seine

We stayed at Huttopia Versailles. Easy access to buses to Versailles and train to central Paris. Downside is that it is in woodland and the pitches tend to be odd sizes and have trees and tree roots to avoid. Most people only stay a few days as it's the location rather than the site that draws them.

We stayed at Les 4 Vents. Lots of people were using it for Disney. We used it for visiting Paris. In peak season they have a shuttle bus to the local train station. We were there outside peak season and they advised us to drive to a train station about 10 minutes drive away that had a massive park and ride car park. The site was nice and we would definitely use it again if we were returning to the area.

Further from the city we have used Camping le Beau Village at Villiers-Le Bel and hiked to the train from there, or there is a site called Camping Belle Etoile at Melun which looks peaceful but with a similar walk to trains, though I haven’t been there

We did exactly that. OK if you have a car although taxis do come out to the site.

We've used Camping Huttopia Versailles, it was a short walk to Prorchefontaine railway station with regular runs into Paris.

The site at Dourdan, south of Paris, has good train links taking you into the Gare d'Austerlitz in an hour for 5 euros. I see that they are advertising that booking for pitches during the Paris Olympics (26th July to 11th August) will be opening in January! Camping Municipal Dourdan
