We are currently in vallon and were heading to marsellian plage on Wednesday for a few nights before heading to the Dordogne sarlat, looking at the weather forecast we're not sure what direction to head for, other than we are heading back home via the tunnel on the 14th

Looking at Meteo France the only place not getting a fair bit of rain in the next couple of weeks is round Perpignan.
Here in the Dordogne it looks like the season comes to an abrupt end next Sunday.
Our motorhome group are currently at Castelnaud and from the pictures of them in the river at some ungodly hour this morning it looks pretty hot at the moment !

Live a few miles from Castlenaud. Temperature today and yesterday barely reached 20c. Sky the slate grey colour I usually assocaite with an Old Trafford test match.
We have just today come back 11 days early as I couldn`t see any region in France that wasn`t going to be wet for the next 10 days or so. I should add that this was the second time this year, we came back a week early in May for the same reason. Managed to get 3 full weeks in June/July thankfully. I feel really sorry for campsite owners this year.
Been in France since 26th Aug, started on Channel coast and headed down Rhône valley. Very hot for 10 days to Apt, then a thunderstorm Wed night. Since Thur pm it’s been hot and sunny, same due tomorrow but windy. Heading back northwards from Sunday so we get what we get.

We've been pottering around various parts of the Loire valley for the last couple of weeks - a lot of hot, sunny weather, some warm but cloudy times, one impressive thunderstorm and a few showers.
The forecast isn't great for next week, but we just enjoy being in France, even if all we do is walk the dogs and go shopping!
We are in a caravan though, I dare say it would be different if we were tenting.
Well we had a night at nimes and now at marsellian plage very windy today and overcast with the odd quick shower forecast isn't great for tomorrow but then it's picking up again so we are staying down south till Wednesday and doing the Dordogne another time

Round here (Dordogne) the weather for the main French season, mid July - end of August was hot and sunny and campsites we passed always seemed pretty rammed. First time I've seen the car park at the village carrefour contact completely full and people using the land behind the petrol station opposite as overspill.
We've been in France for 8 days now, the first few days were nice and warm, but since about the middle of last week it's been cool, wet at times and windy. Not what we usually get at this time of year.
In the Green Venice at the moment, moving on to the coast tomorrow for a few days. Forecast is quite windy at times, but we do like to have a few days by the sea.
After that not sure, not away as long as usual this time, crossing back on the 21st.

Weather on the west coast due to pick up from next Friday according to forecast.Unless you're heading down to the Med it looks as good a bet as any for the remainder - although Thursday looks grim for the whole of France.
Normally the time of year we go to the Ile de Re - sunniest part of France apart from the Med. North east coast of island should offer shelter from the westerlies. Municioal at St Martin is a short walk to harbour (great ice cream stall), and no more than 5 mins drive to LeClercs, Intermarche and Lidl.
We leave on Wednesday morning for a fortnight stay at Antibes from Friday. First night Reims where the forecast is unseasonably cold and maybe wet and then second night L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue where the Mistral is forecast up to 70kph.
I reckon we’ll manage though, sun and mid twenties forecast at Antibes for the foreseeable after that

Decided not to go all the way south this time. Now outside Les Sables, arrived in brilliant sunshine but during afternoon clouded over. Now the sun is trying to get through again. It's blowing very hard but at least we've not had any rain today.
Have been to Ile de Re a few times but in view of the weather this time decided against that.
Forecast for Thursday has changed, now supposed to be sunny! No doubt it'll change again before then!
