We are planning a trip to Florence, but the sites near autoroute from Milan to Florence are non exhistant. There is one at Modena, anybody know of any others?

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
When we went to Florence a few years ago we went via France and the Mont Blanc tunnel - camped in Val Veny just the Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif.
Comfortable drive the next day to Florence via outskirts of Genoa - pretty much motorway all the way.

If you're looking for a site close to Firenze the we have used this one on the campsite search....https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=11751. It was quite a while ago but i would use it again - review clouded somewhat by torrential rain on arrival.

You can drive from Milan to Florence in a morning if you wish, but a diversion to a campsite called Arizona at Salso Maggiore Terme and day visits from there to both Faenza and Parma are all worthwhile.

There's a Camping Arizona near Fidenza just before Parma, a Turistico Citta di Bologna which I assume is a municipal, also if you check the ACSI site (eurocampings not campingcard) there appear to be another 4 or 5 between Bologna and Firenze.
I checked another website, 30 miles from Modena for caravan with EHU.
It brought up 3, which don't seem to be on UKCS, I think someone has mentioned one of them above:
L'Arca di Noe - Agricamp
Centro Turistico Città di Bologna
Campeggio Ecochiocciola
Hi,
We considered ‘Hu Firenze camping in town’ on the out skirts of Florence, maybe worth looking at.It’s open all year. We are actually in Florence now but have flown so decided on a hotel!
I just googled campsites on Google maps looking at Florence.

That site looks beautiful, will consider if we drive back to the area one day🤞.
Florence was beautiful but extremely busy which we weren’t expecting in March. Now in Pisa which is well worth a visit
The only time we have visited Firenze when camping was when we based ourselves in Balze on the outskirts of Volterra. We caught a train from Pondeterra and travelled in...it was superb.
Campsites are a challenge around Florence. Check out the 'Campeggio' website you may strike it lucky. Florence is a major city so you may be some distance from the centre.

Favourite site:
Camping Nanzel, Limone, Lake
Garda..perfect for MTB, Kayak, SUP and fell running training.
Favourite areas: Provence, French Alps, Savigny (as a stop over for Southern France: Rhein valley as a stop over for Italy. 78

SNAP! we based ourselves at Camping Le Blaze for one trip and visited several places from there. Walking into Volterra from the campsite keeps you fit!
Well we've just booked Camping Village Il Poggetto in Troghi and Camping Baia Verde at Lake Garda. Just the drag getting there now. Hope the weather is better in 5 weeks.

We found best way of searching for campsites in Europe is to search 'campsites' in an area of Google maps, seems to come up with a lot more than any other source.
