We've signed up to ACSI for 2024 at the Birmingham show, and I've just been looking at the 'free' trial pages on the app while we wait for it to go live.
I can see prices for low and high season on the trial pages but can't work out where you find out what the dates are.
As we're planning to travel late Jun/early July I realise that some sites will be out of the ACSI period but it would be good to be able to work out which ones !

I've never used the App, but on the ACSI Card website the details of dates aare in the general descriptive text about the site and in a 'banner' underneath that description. Here is the description for La Briquerie (Normandie) for 2023 dates (it's quite possible that final dates aren't available yet for 2023):

In easily accessible woodland with large, marked-out pitches. Easy access. 3 km from the sea and the picturesque town of Honfleur. 1 km from a large wood for walks. 100 metres from large supermarket. Luxury toilet facilities. Excellent restaurant.

At Camping La Briquerie in Honfleur (Calvados) camping costs as little as €19,- per night during low season with CampingCard ACSI. At one of the 200 touring pitches you will get a discounted rate during the period 01-04-2023 - 08-07-2023 and 26-08-2023 - 02-10-2023.

I have just looked at my app and the validity period is there. If you open the page for the campsite you want, scroll down past the description and the inspectors comments, you will see the opening period and when ACSI is accepted. I would not travel without ACSI, like many we always avoid peak season/school holidays. In late June/early July many sites are still giving the discounts.

We were never more than 50/50. Half the sites we liked never gave ACSI discounts, and half the places we liked to visit had site owners who could make a reasonable living without paying big money to the Dutch company to become one of their members.

We've been using ACSI extensively for some years but not exclusively. While we wouldn't be without it we've come to understand its limitations.

Although I have the app I haven't really used it much preferring to use the book.

The book quotes the discount prices and dates as well as what facilities are available on the site and most importantly, when they're available. It doesn't always get all of these details right but they were right at the time of printing.

I do quite a bit of research during the winter months to identify which are the most appropriate sites, checking access and what's available in the locality, I don't see the point of turning up at a site that's miles from anywhere, with nothing going on and nothing open just because it's cheap. The access routes are particularly important to check because sometimes the instructions are a bit vague.

Travelling in June/July you may find the discounts drying up towards the end of the period. We also found the ACSI sites we used this year to be the busiest, obviously a lot of other campers had the same idea, get out there before the rush of school holidays.

Seems that many people prefer the book like me but why, oh why don't they improve the silly little map booklet?
Personally I would happily pay a couple of quid more for a more detailed map.

We use the app, rarely use the book. When using the app, you can click on 'Route Planner' to see exactly where the sites are. It's an excellent resource.

I think the confusion arises because there are 3 apps! The actual ACSI app does not have the low-season dates on but the Camping Card one does- identified with the CC icon. The third app is for 'Great Little Campsites'. I found this out this year, having bought first the ACSI app and then realising I needed the CC one. Incidentally, I could not find a way to cancel the subscription to the CC app on the website and had to phone Holland to cancel, with associated call charges. Hope they have fixed that problem.

Our 2024 books arrived today. The card is now plastic and you need to register it usual thing, create an account if you don't have one.
A couple of our favourite sites still in at same price.

It's a new thing for 24. Instructions came with it. The plastic card is attached to a separate sheet rather than being incorporated in the book cover.
