has anyone come through Calais Eurotunnel lately
What was the delay like at UK immigration?

We came through in mid Sept, and delays were minimal.

Used the tunnel for a French trip in May 2023.

Apart from not being familiar with the layout and where to find the building for checking in the dog, all was good with no delays.

Coming back, I was searched, being asked to open the back of my van so that they could check for illegal immigrants, otherwise all was good with no delays.

Avoid peak times & you are ok. Every car nowadays takes several minutes to process through both UK & French officials so multiply that by a lot of vehicles & delays are unavoidable at busy times.

Hi Mg. We are going early next yr mid April mid July for cheaper cost & less crowds. Probably start on Med coast & work back but we will be up & back along A20 so we can sort something out.

Does anyone else have issues trying to check in without getting out of their vans on the UK side please?

I struggled and had to get out from my VW Crafter as I was not able to reach!
