Four bike pumps at €3/each for the hire bikes.

Silly question but, do you really need four bike pumps?. My wife and kids spent a fortune in the store in La Roche-Sur-Yon. A lot of cheap things added up to an expensive till receipt.

Floydfan is a campsite owner...the pumps are for the hire bikes, presumably?

Having said that I think we own about fifteen bike pumps! Every bike we own seems to take a different size to fit the frame, plus we have two ...err, three track pumps and a couple of folding ones! And there's always something newer and better, like any other sort of hobby equipment!

Come to think of it I bought a really nifty little folding pump in decathlon two years back, with reversable fittings for schrader and presta valves, a lock oin clip feature and a double shot in/out pump action. It was €15 if I recall correctly and it's a fabulous little pump as you can keep it in a pannier rather than absent-mindedly leaving it attached to the frame, to get pinched. Excellent little item.
