I think it varies a lot depending on dates and how far ahead you book.

Last month I almost booked for next year (late March and late June) and for 2 adults in an outside cabin with car and 8m caravan it was to be £355 return. We don't bother with the meals.

The Rosyth ferry was very expensive if you were taking a caravan, and I believe the fares on the new one are to be similar, so I would forget them.

Thanks for that info Jenn.  I agree the prices were daylight robbery with Superfast but if money is no object it's an option.  As Norfolk do very cheap Dover/Dunkirk crossings won't they have special offers to tempt us Scots folk to use their ferry?

Must e-mail them and ask.  I am already booked for next year (twice) with Norflok - just missed the really cheap deals but still under £100 each time return. In fact we do one of the crossings solo as we are leaving the 'van in France between trips in Spring/late summer.  I would consider Rosyth if the prices were even reasonable.

Hi all just got a quote for Plymouth to Roscoff for May next year a bit expensive but think it might be to do with Moto GP being on at Le Mans.

So thought I would try the Caravan & Camping Club.
Well what a way to run a service first time I've used them, first couldn't get an on-line quote it keeps telling me to phone them, so I did they want to know exact height and length of car and trailer tent which Brittany only need to know it's no higher than 1.63m and trailer no longer than 5m etc. etc.

Now what really got me going CC Club wanted to know the size of my trailer tent when erected, so I just replied I will not be using it on the ferry so you don't need to know, I was told they couldn't proceed unless they knew the size when erected
So I didn't get a price from them.

My theory on this is they will use the information to send insurance quotes etc.
What do you all think?

Would think that they needed to know size of TT when erected to find a suitable pitch size and add on supplements if big!!!!!!!!!
Wouldnt have been anything to do with ferry.
By the way and more important what date is Moto GP at Le Mans??

Hi Jeff & Sharon
Yes could understand wanting size of TT for sites but I did tell them three or four times over the course of the phone call that I just needed quote for the ferry only,
as we are not sure where we'll be going from Le Mans yet.

Moto GP is weekend of 16th/17th May 2009 but think it's still provisional.

Hi,
Have to check out the dates of the North West 200 first, before we could plan to go, but Valencia is on my OHs wish list for Christmas(in his dreams)
Can understand you frustration with your booking. Had a problem with them over a booking a few years ago.
