Bit like the Irish giving directions," I would n't start from here, Derbyshire - 6 am ferry Calais and onward, I would be knackered, but I am a bit ancient. Honfleur is about 3 hrs from Calais, so you pays your money, and takes your chance. Le Puits is probably a step too far for anyone. if you want another site, nearer to Calais, still easy on /easy off and a good French experience you could try http://www.camping-sainte-claire.com/ Don't want to poor cold water, but towing is a bit slower than solo, and I have repped for years doing megamileages per day, but I can't do the same with the van on the back, and definitely not with "the precious cargo"
For me there is nothing worse than arriving at the holiday site stressed out from the drive, and wasting the first 2 days of the holiday.
Best of luck

When we have stayed there, I sent an e-mail in English to book. We did n't get a reply ( which is not that unusual in France) but when we arrived, the owner knew about us coming, and with a pre book, I think we got a better pitch, I will post a picture on my gallery.
It is a lovely little site, and as you say only a short run from the ferry. Not difficult to find, and there is a supermarket 5 mins away in the town. They do snacky meals if you don't want to cook. You can be quickly back on the autoroute. One of those sites ( if the weather is good, you are up north remember) that you wish you had longer to stay,------ but thats life.

PS ask the patron about Calvados --- he knows a thing or two.
