I only mention this because sections VI & VII have spaces for 15 Stamps (trips), but section IX only has room for 5 stamps.
On our 3 trips section IX has always been filled in, but it means we will need a new Passport after next years trip. I intend to ask the checking staff at the eurotunnel terminal if section IX is required.

I thought the section about whether the animal is fit to travel was required if the animal was travelling unaccompanied, so that the carrier such as an airline had some reassurance that the animal was not likely to conk out on the journey! If you are travelling with your pet, you can take responsibility for it's health and welfare, take it for treatment if appropriate etc.
I had read on another forum that you can provide your own frontline and worming treatment to the vet. Not sure if it makes alot of difference but we do have a supply of Frontline and Vet supplied worming tablets anyway! Anyone else tried this and does it make a difference to the price please?
I have always bought it from the vet where I have the dog treated in France as it used to be much cheaper than U.K. vet's prices.
The vets I have used let you bring your own treatment.

What happens if your dog isn't due to have Frontline, as it lasts for 2/3 months? We only give our dogs Frontline and worming tablets as per the recommended timescale.
Over the past three years I have used two vets the first at Peronne France 36euro no enlish spoken so muddled along a very good service. the last couple of time a vet in Odenaarde Belgium at 28euro very good english and a pleasure to talk to them and good service and no problems at all. adrad
We took our dog to France for two years and it was relatively easy. We found a vet through a website called dogsabroad, they charge about £30 and they book the vet for you and send you maps and contact details, with lots of other information about bringing your pet home. So you just turn up at the vets. The dog has an examination to check that they are healthy and are given a worming tablet and the drops on the back of the neck for fleas and ticks. The vet signs and stamps the dogs passport, but charges about £50, so its a bit of a rip-off. But we had a great holiday with our dog, so it was worth it for us. Hope that helps
