Indeed, only 23miles at the nearest point, I'm sure there are a few of us who would be happy to drive that far along unfamiliar D roads for an overnight stop after a long days driving & others who might even want to stop there for a fortnight.....(but not me)...<IMG border=0 src="forum_images/smiley2.gif">
Many people simply opt for a slightly shorter days driving deliberately, so they can get well away from the road noise & into somewhere pretty & peaceful to stop. We do. We would actually hate to stay anywhere much closer to a motorway than that & I know a fair few other folks who do the same.
Couldn't agree with you more, Gypsydoll. We also stop driving early on, rather than late in the evening, because we too like to be further away from roadnoise etc. We also like to pick somewhere to stay so that we can have a look round the village, or hamlet, or just have a walk round somewhere peaceful and quiet.
The site in question could be a good proposition for someone I'm sure, as many people these days like somewhere off the beaten track.
