However did we survive without sat nav? What about being aware of whats going on?.
!
Whenever people discuss routes there are always those who are really anti-sat nav. This is the thing that intrigues me: if you don't like it, don't use it, fair enough - but why so much resentment towards other people who do?
Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread.... back to Rouen.
Not anti sat nav, I'll accept anything that makes life easier, Only against the way some people use it. Otherwise how do 40 ton trucks get stuck up country lanes, and a lot of caravans for that matter.
I agree with your point re use thereof, use it as you wish. But on an info forum, I think it is worth noting that in this particular case the junction occurs on an urban route with a lot of off slips, and possibly confusing signage, so the simple advice in my view is to point out the clear and obvious signs, which in this case are white and green, and can be seen clearly in advance. In France particularly there sre signs on every junction, many of which are for McDonalds, and every hotel in the town, does n't mean you have to respond to hem.
As you say "back to Rouen" and this question crops up every few months , so for someone who claims to be a "frought newbie" , with or without sat nav, the simple directions work.
