There's a map of Camping Cheque sites - I have a spare if you'd like it.  Email me at and I'll post it to you.  It goes with the Guide Book which you get if you order some Camping Cheques.  Not all sites accept them - so you need to be sure that there are sites in the areas you're planning to visit, and that the dates they're accepted are during the times you'll be there.

The ACSI book is sold out this year, unfortunately.

Municipal sites are generally (though not always) quite cheap - and there are lots of other cheap sites around.  I'd buy the 'Guide Officiel' which you can order from the link - it lists all campsites in France so very easy to highlight them on your planned route, so you know where the next one is if you're ready to stop.  We highlighted all the sites along the route on our first day - as we'd no idea how far we'd get the first day!!  It worked very well, too.
