Camping Gaz C206... oops I've just googled these and we've been carrying these attached to the appliances on the tunnel for years...we've two lamps that use these... and we pack them up attached at the end of a trip and get em out again in the spring...is that wrong?  Gosh!

In terms of the tunnel, it would seem not.

But I'm wary of them. My old Bluet stove did get turned on in a bag once, venting gas (not much of an issue really, it was in a pannier and just vented to the air.)

But use resealable cyclinders now anyway

I have just searched the eurotunnel web site all I can find is the requirement to switch off all bottles.  It doesn't say anything about disconnecting them.

Yes, that's why we're getting a bit paranoid about this because we had the whole lot confiscated by security at St Pancras and threats of other action!

Thanks to everyone for comments; seems as if it's okay to carry the newer ones as long as they're not attached?

I think different rules apply if you go via Eurostar from St Pancras compared to Eurotunnel from Folkstone.  It would be as well to give them a phone call to find out.  It is potencially a dangerous practice to allow a part used gas cartridge to vent out by removing it form the burner for obvious reasons.
