We went to Euro Disney last June, we stayed in the Sequoia (sp) Lodge Disney hotel. For me the best bit for staying in a Disney hotel is you can get into the park 2 hours earlier than the general public. This was fab as most rides in Fantasyland (pink area) were open, so we were able to do all the rides our kids liked before the queues started. Food, well we had 1/2 board, but inside the park looking at the prices we found them overpriced and the quality was poor. In the Disney village the food is better but still expensive. Would recommend Annette's Diner (I liked the roller skating waitress ) and the Rain forest cafe. There are water fountains dotted around the park, we brought a couple of bottles of water and kept filling them up. We took loads of stuff from the breakfast buffet in our bag, even though it gets checked on entry, we never had a problem.
One really good tip we found for meeting the characters in the park is not to be too pushy. If you're pushy and rude it doesn't seem to be appreciated, however if your patient and polite, they seem to appreciate it more. We found the Spanish incredibly rude always pushing and shoving past our patiently waiting kids....grrrrrrr my backpack was quite handy sometimes!
Hope any of this helps.
Jeff
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We were planning on taking our Grandson to DLP as we have been to Disneyland California and few times we used to live near there. We prefer Universal Studios. Our Grandson went just before we moved to France and when I asked him if he would like to go again, he said he would prefer Parc Asterix. His favourite place in Futuroscope, we have been twice and he would happily go again. It has camp sites close by and a campervan park right at the entrance, along with a kennel for dogs. You can also take Picnic's in there too, there are areas with picnic tables. A super place to visit.
They arent checking for food / drink at bag check in DLRP ! they are more concerned about weapons etc!
we have always brought snacks / drinks in with us no problems
hot drinks are stupidly expensive! Never again will I pay 4 euros for a small cup of hot chocolate!! we bring a flask now and those pre measured cups of coffee / hot choc / soup ,pack of 8 ( or 6 ?) for £1 at Poundland! and a pack of sweetners and some spoons!
