There a couple of sites along the Ceze - I think Pitchperfect used one - La Vallee Verte (website not working at present), and Les Genets d'Or . Both look lovely sites. There is a fantastic area of sculptured rocks nearby, where kids (and adults) 'play'. The website for the campsites Les Cascades shows the rocks I mean.
I think most sites in that area will organise canoeing excursions, and some have a qualified instructor along with them, which may reassure you with your two sons.

That looks like a nice site. Les cascades have got some stinker reviews, not here but elsewhere on the web.
We went to the site you recomended oin St Cirq La Popie and it was great!
That is what I love about this site, you can ask specific questions and people who have actually been to the area can answer you. I once asked a question about EHU hook ups in Camping Pong and someone kindly answered me. Little did I know that the same person would be pitched next to me on the camp site only a few weeks later.
I haven't read those reviews about Les Cascades - where did you find them? I know it was a site we considered, as it joined the Camping Cheque network last year, and we wanted to canoe the Ceze, however, as I mentioned we changed our plans and went elsewhere. Perhaps as well if there are bad reviews. I've only 'read' the reviews (mostly in Dutch) on Zoover, but not seen any elsewhere.
Yep, we stayed at La Vallee Verte. No waterslides unfortunately, but a very nice swanky, sparkly swimming pool/bar/restaurant area, and good-sized, flat, tiered grassy pitches, some with excellent views across the valley. I gave a bit more info on this thread.
We checked out the Les Cascades campsite first and weren't too inspired by it. Nothing wrong with it, it just didn't have that ... je ne sais quoi
