OOOh shall we start a thread about bad punctuation. I agree, but i get shirty about bad spelling! For example their and there! The inappropriate use of an ' also gets me going, for example boat's or tent's! When of course we all know it should be boats or tents.
Oh i love being old and grumpy!!!!

Even worse is "different to" instead of "different from". You even hear it on the radio and the Chancellor said it yesterday in his speech.

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

We seem to have left the original post behind and started something new.  I hope Laughing Girl found the relevant comments useful.

It is interesting to note how many errors there are in the posts about grammar and punctuation.  People / glasshouses.......   It is so much better to give opinions than to be opinionated.

I haven't noticed France being worse than the UK. There don't seem to be as many dogs there as there are here.

Are you sure it isn't  the visitors leaving the mess?

Seriously, it does seem a very variable phenomenon. Some places are awful - Perpignan sperings to mind - while in other towns you hardly see a dog or its mess.  Depends on the folks, I suppose: much as in UK.
