You can send money abroad quickly by using www.travelex.co.uk

You can only use a debit card but to and send payment to another bank only costs 99p it arrives within 5 days.

We stayed at Dunreill at Easter in one of the bungalows. We had to pay the deposit in euros and the balance. Both times by bank transfer and NW and Barclays wanted £25 a go. I got a friend who use a different bank and she was able to do it a lot cheaper. Otherwise it would have added another £50 to an already expensive holiday. Just an additional charge on the British!

Re Duinrell although the booking letter says bank transfer I just phoned them up and paid by credit card over the phone, no problem.

Our Italian campsite last year wanted 100 Euro deposit (couldn't take cards over the phon), in the end I posted it recorded (or whatever the European equivalent is) , I thought it was worth the risk to avoid the £25 bank charge. Again was fine.
