as mentioned it takes approx  20 - 30 mins to get it all done and you save money over buying day passes

no we stayed offsite ( as we need 2 rooms and this is stupidly expensive onsite!) so we stayed at Adagio in a 2 bed apartment

we havent got annual passes anymore,now that our youmngest doesn't get one free lol ! but plan to get them again for next year

Another vote for the annual pass, was cheaper for us than 3-day tickets, plus the free parking means that if you have a motorhome or campervan you can even stay on site for free.  Admittedly it is on tarmac but there are toilets and showers provided.

Getting the passes was no hassle at all, pay at the standard ticket office then exchange the day tickets for passes at the office (just to the right of the castle). You must take your passports with you for identification otherwise you can't do it though so don't forget.

10% off food and shop purchases too.

"The voucher is valid for six months from date of purchase and your 12 months pass starts the day you exchange."

We are going next July and had originaly only planned to go for 2 days but on looking at this it may change my mind.  There are 2 adults and 2 children aged 8 & 6 at the time.

Is it therefore possible for us to buy via this link or do you need to attend DLP within the 6 months to get the tickets validated?  If so is it normal to get an under 7 free when you buy an adult annual pass?

For each paying adult you can get a child pass for under 7's only free.

It will cost €20 for a year's membership however for € 169 we got 1 adult & 1 child dream pass for the year saving €229 and they send the ticket in a PDF format which my wife and daughter took along to the annual passport office and exchanged for the the photo cards.

When we went to DLP in August there were loads of people in the line exchanging PDF vouchers for day tickets as well from the same site.

we booked ours though ce multiadvantages,

they send tickets to you through recorded post which are entrance to the park tickets which you then take to the booth by the castle to change into annual passes, really easy process and saves $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
