Soleil Plage my favourite

Is it? You know, I don't think you've ever mentioned that before, Huw...don't suppose you could recommend a site, say, in the Argeles area too?

We might make it to SP......one day.

A huge site right behind the dunes on the Plage Nord - fab viw of the mountains?

I'm a signpost not a weathercock

It has to be Beynac in the Sarlat area for me. Le Capyrou is the best site for location that I've ever been to and I've been to a few.

Looks superb - the "Virtual Walk Through" on the website had me reeling with dizziness.

Don't want to put a dampner on this site but wasn't this one that suffered really bad flooding a few years ago. Shoudn't rain in June though should it?????

There are several reviews of this site on UKC ...
We stayed there in 2010 ... it is good, but we found it a little crowded ... serried rows of pitches ...
Very good for young families ... lots of kids ...
Not a lot of noise from main road ... and well placed for a fairly central Dordogne experience ... though the main roads are very busy in the high season.
Easy paddling on the river, with nearby canoe hire.
Lovely view of the Chateau from many pitches.
But not for anyone who wants a quiet, peaceful campsite.

Hi , we visited the dordogne in june this year which i must say was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in a static on la polombiere campsite near Sarlat the site has got pitches for caravans and tents.

It is a lovely site with a good facilities, In fact we could not fault it in any way at all.

If you do go to the Dordogne do try and get to Rocamadour it is the most Amazing

Town very beautiful. Happy travelling! Gillian.
