Umm....someone from some motoring organisation has just been on Radio 5 live and seemed unsure as to if it is going to be required or not.....confusion seems to reign!!

Well according to the French hotel owner where we are staying it still hasn't been made law, from ANY date!!

I've heard alll sorts of mixed messages - some say it will only apply to people previously convicted of drink-driving offences (French), others that it won't be decided until after the French elections as it's likely to be an unpopular measure, and others that it will start on 1st July 2012 and will apply to everyone!

That is a good point. I have to say Auchan in Calais and Cora in Dunquerke were'nt making them obvious on the shelfs last weekend, but I must admit I wasn't looking for them but I did have a good scout around the motoring sections.

I suppose if they are only a couple of quid a piece it will be worth getting a couple to throw in the glovebox.
At that price it's not worth not bothering.
