The wind never really got into the camping ground (Rubina Resort and Camping Salata) but yes the beach always does get windy at lunch time....

Rock pegs might be useful - just make sure you don't point the opening of your tent to the north. Parts of the site are more sheltered than others - and in june with 2 young children I would be looking for a sheltered spot under the trees. If you have booked through the camping and caravan club and you are not happy with the pitch you have been given I think you will be able to change it to a similar pitch (i.e. a "B" pitch for a "B" pitch. If you are choosing your own pitch have a good walk round first. You have to leave your car in the car park while choosing your pitch - so take your children with you. The most shaded pitches are on the right as you enter the site.
