There is a more recent thread on this topic, NEC Update where Savanne posted the details of the DFDS offer, and where many people have been able to book successfully using www.dfdsseaways.co.uk/nec, or entering the code enec in the Promotional Code Box. Car crossing £19.00 each way, low season, £29.00 high season, car and caravan £29.00 low season, £39.00 high season, and that's a combination outfit up to 14m. Not everyone is a member of the Caravan Club, and not everyone wants to pay £20 extra to change the details of a crossing, however I think the Caravan Club offer does include an upgrade to the First Class Lounge if that is available on the crossing you choose. Just one possible problem, worth mentioning, with the Caravan Club bookings is that the Caravan Club Travel Service only works office hours, so if you need to change a booking urgently (say at the weekend or at night) because of problems perhaps whilst travelling, or an urgent need to get home quickly, you can't get hold of them, and DFDS can't alter the details of your booking if you speak to them directly.
