I must admit the area mentioned by Stuart is on our 'radar' for this year. We feel we've been to the Languedoc too many times recently and I shall be running out of new sites to recommend.
I like the look of Stuart's recommendation - and have heard good things about it from others.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Nyons is our favourite town..at the Cooperative they specialise in the black Tanche olive ( for those that like olives they are supposedly the canine testicles) and the red wine "Les Baronnies" at €1.20 a litre en vrac would convert a nun to alcoholism.
The town is compact and has beautiful market squares within th old walls, great for people watching. There are loads of walks and birdwatching in the Ventoux Mountains.
Ratty - can you add Domaine de Surgie (e with an accent) at Figeac in the Lot. I'd like to add it but my internet connection is about to run out. I want to do a review when it's on please, as it's a lovely site and would interest a lot of different groups of caravanners/campers.
